Select the link for glogster edu. I have the link set to open in a tab/window so you can switch between viewing these directions and glogster. For advanced editing tips see More on Glogster. For directions on embedding your glog into the wiki see Embedding Glog into Wiki.
Once you are here, select the Login option in the upper right of the page. (See red arrow)
Type in the username and password given to you by Mrs. Bizzaro.
Select "Log In" (circled in red)
Change your password (your computer login would be fine). To do this, select account settings (circled in red) located just off right of center.
Once you select this, you will be prompted to enter the original password, the new password, and to verify the new password.
Once your password is changed, select "Back to dashboard".
Now, let the FUN begin.
From your dashboard, select "CREATE A NEW GLOG"
This will be the workspace for you interactive poster.
The first thing you will need to do is give the glog a name. This could be the subject of your research or your name. Mrs. Bizzaro will direct you on the format she would like you to use for the name.
On the left hand side of the page is the toolbox from which you will work. This includes graphics, text, image, video, sound, data, draw, and wall.
Select an object by clicking on it.
Objects inserted on the page can be moved, rotated, or resized.
The pre-inserted images/text can be deleted by either choosing the pink trash can in the edit box or by selecting delete on the keyboard.
If you select "Edit", you will be provided more editing options.
Colors can be changed by selecting the color palette.
Links can be added.
The font can be adjusted as well as the font color.
Effects can be added such as shadow.
To change the text in a "text object", simply highlight the text and type.
To SAVE your glog, select "save and publish". The "Publish Changes" dialog box will appear.
Select an appropriate category for your glog (perhaps SCHOOL), select "unfinished" and then SAVE.
Wait PATIENTLY for the saving process to complete.
Once finished, you can: View - Continue Editing - Return to Dashboard
Be sure to LOGOUT of glogster at the end of class and AFTER you have finished saving.
